I want to offer an ambitious Mechanical Design Engineer the opportunity to kick start their design career with a fantastic business, to work closely with the senior design team to deliver creative and cost effective solutions to their global food manufacturing customer base.
A team of four to support you with innovative problem solving, new concepts and prototypes to improve the current product range and achieve the next generation solutions.
The ambition of the business is to become the first choice end of line pack handling equipment supplier across the industry, and for the right candidate able to demonstrate an enthusiastic yet keen eye for detail, have a creative mind and the drive to excel, you will enjoy the development of your position and reputation across the business.
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will have an innovative problem-solving approach to product design, preparing concepts and prototypes to improve our current products as well as create new ones, with the key remit to develop and design products in Solidworks (experience needed) through to delivering the drawings for manufacture and assembly.
As you would expect, you will be an enthusiastic Mechanical Designer with the right qualifications and SolidWorks as key attributes.
Experience in the food handling industry not essential but a huge advantage.
Experience in this areas a real bonus:
- Pneumatic circuits
- Various manufacturing techniques including sheet metal and machining
- Electronic control cabinets construction
- Belt and pulley drive systems
- Conveyor construction
- Motor/gearbox sizing
